Thanks to Our 2010 Supporters

The York Association of the United Church of Christ, partnered with Group Workcamps of Loveland, Colorado, to co-sponsor the third First Capital Group Workcamp during the week of July 11-17, 2010.

Group Workcamps are intensive one-week experiences that help people grow in Christian faith through service. Teenagers, along with adult leaders, from across the U.S. will come to York County to repair homes for low income, elderly, or disabled homeowners. Teams of 5 teenagers and at least 1 adult leader, members of church youth groups representing many Christian denominations, will do the work. These volunteers hope you can be home as much as possible during their workweek so they can get to know you and learn about the area.

Eligible repair projects may include:

Interior painting Exterior painting Mobile home underpinning

Mobile home roof coating Porch construction Wheelchair ramp construction

Weatherization Minor carpentry repairs/construction
